The Difference a Year Can Make

I had a great meeting with Phil a few weeks back. 

A year ago Phil took control of his health and fitness, and his results are amazing! The first steps were an InBody body composition scan, and a review of Phil’s nutrition. We found some simple ways for him to upgrade his diet, like starting his day with protein at breakfast, and having better snack options. In addition to improving his nutrition, Phil also worked out with group CrossFit classes 3 days a week.

Within a few months, Phil started seeing results. On his follow up InBody scan he lost 20.1 lbs. of fat! Phil has also noticed faster paces, a lower heart rate, and feeling great while running as he prepared for a half marathon.

Fast forward to 2025. Phil has lost 29.6 lbs. of fat, added 2.2 lbs. of muscle, and reduced his body fat percentage by 13%! His improved strength shows in his lifts, and Phil says he’s “in the best shape I’ve been in at 38!” He also noted that it’s easier and “doesn’t feel like a battle” to fight cravings for things like sweets and alcohol. 

Phil did all this while running a business and being there for his growing family (they welcomed their second daughter in 2024!). Phil was busy. Good busy, but busy just the same. He didn’t let it slow him down though!Phil said he “wouldn’t have made this progress without being here” at CrossFit 781. 

We’re proud of Phil, and he deserves all the credit. He’s set a great example, choosing to get in the best shape of his life and is continuing to do the work to get results.
