When Everything Clicks

Barsha’s fit and strong. She’s been working to get through a body composition plateau, and see more definition. A couple weeks ago we had a check in meeting. This included a body composition scan, which she’s done regularly for the last 15 months. Barsha saw her best results yet! The body composition improvement was the breakthrough she’s been working towards.

How did she do it? Barsha told me everything clicked for her when she was on a hiking trip. In addition to hiking she was eating real, non-processed foods. 

She brought those habits home with her to reach the results she’s been chasing. Here’s what Barsha’s weekly routine looks like now:

  • No processed foods
  • Workout 5 days each week
  • Walk 10,000 steps, or 1 hour each day

Barsha’s nutrition and workout routine are fantastic! Daily walking is the cherry on top. She sets reminders for herself every hour to get up, and get her steps in.

This is NEAT or Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis. NEAT is all of the energy you use for activities other than eating, sleeping, and exercise. 

Walking alone isn’t a substitute for vigorous workouts. However, combining a walking habit with a good diet plan and workout routine could be just the thing to push you over the top to your goals, like Barsha.
